about me
Abigail Rictor ~ she/her/hers ~ Centennial, Colorado
I’ll be graduating with a degree in Computer Science in a little more than a year, but growing up, I was always a reader and writer. I started reading poetry in middle school, but only cared for 15+ stanza ballads with perfect rhyme schemes. I read a lot of Poe, Tennyson, Noyes, and I loved the rhythmic and flowery language. I was lucky enough to be exposed to a lot of poetry when I was younger, in my classes in high school, and through my brother who also reads and writes it and is full of recommendations. Over time, I found an appreciation for a wider variety of poetry and I learned to see it in other places. I can see poetry affecting the art that I enjoy, the music I listen to, and the online spaces I visit, and that’s just indescribably cool. No one likes me talking about poetry in the lab, so here I am!
